Would I be able to book Lancashire Belle for my 1940s-themed event?

Yes. Every year Jane undertakes a full diary of both public and private bookings, ranging from 1940s weekends to air shows, transport festivals & other heritage events. Jane is also regularly booked privately for family celebrations, weddings, by hotels, social clubs, garden parties - and many more far too numerous to mention.

Who are some of Jane's current and previous clients?

During 2023, Jane will be appearing at various 1940s Weekends, including Woodhall Spa, East Lancs Railway, Severn Valley Railway, Lytham & Grassington, with others all but confirmed. Jane will once again return to the AVRO Museum for their big summer air show. Over the years, Jane has appeared at many other leading 1940s events such as Ingleton, Lincoln, Haworth, Yanks in Saddleworth & Whitby, to list but a few. Jane can also list the BBC, National Trust, Royal British Legion, Chris Evans' Carfest and a whole host of venues and organisations amongst her extensive client list - and has undertaken many highly successful 1940s dances.

How do I check on Jane's availability?

You can call us direct on 07530 387271 for an informal chat. Alternatively, you can fill in our contact form providing your date & time, location and event information. We will get straight back to you with an idea of costing options.

How soon do I need to book?

Once you have enquired, your date will be provisional for two weeks. On confirming, a contract will be provided, which will secure your booking.

How far will Jane travel?

Anywhere. Travel expenses, if applicable, will be included in the quote.

Does Jane have all her own equipment?

Yes. She has different speaker systems dependent on the size of the room or venue.

How do I know which songs Jane will sing?

Jane has an extensive repertoire of 1940s songs, both British and American, ranging from traditional singalongs to dance numbers. The theme of your event will dictate which songs are the most appropriate for Jane to perform. Rest assured, we will discuss this in detail with you at the time of booking.

How much does Jane charge?

Based on your requirements, we can then provide you with a cost. Please note, Jane is competitive with comparable 1940s singers of a similar standing.

Do you have full public liability insurance?

Yes. A copy of the current certificate can be provided to your venue if required. Before setting up any equipment or props, we routinely carry out a health & safety assessment, with the aim of minimising any potential hazards.

Is Jane's equipment safe?

All electrical equipment is fully PATS tested. Again, a current certificate can be inspected.

Does Jane arrive on her own?

No. At every job she is accompanied by her manager, driver, roadie, sound engineer, assistant and occasional DJ & ARP warden. Happily, all those roles are undertaken by just one person - her trusted sidekick, Dave.

Is there anything we need to provide?

Sufficient time to set up in an area large enough to perform, with a changing room/area, and access to electricity points. Refreshments depending on how long the event is on for.
