Penwortham Gala Day

Hurst Grange Park, off Cop Lane, Penwortham, Preston PR1 9XH

Fingers firmly crossed that the sun is out, as Jane joins the good folk of Penwortham (and anyone else who fancies visiting for the afternoon!) at Hurst Grange Park for a Gala Day to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen's 90th birthday.

The Gala begins at 11.00am with an open air church service, followed at 1.00pm by a concert from the Lostock Hall Brass Band. Jane will then take to the stage at 2.00pm for the first of two 1940s shows. The second, in keeping with the day's theme, will see Jane performing her signature Last Night of the Proms style finale. Hand-waving flags will be available for everyone!

With plenty of other things going on, the Gala Day is a nice relaxed way of spending a Sunday; so why not bring along picnic, as many will do?
